RACHEL SHAW (Lily)
JACK GOODSTEIN (Winston) - Jack is a Professor Emeritus of English at California University of Pennsylvania. He has appeared in several locally produced films and commercials. He is a regular performer at Western Pennsylvania theatres such as South Park, Apple Hill, and Mckeesport. Also a playwright, his one acts have been staged in New York, Chicago, Toronto and Pittsburgh.
NAYLI RIDENER (Emily) - Born in Venezuela, Nayli is no stranger to the spotlight. Fluent in Spanish and Italian, she began her career at 5 years old. Between singing and playing various musical instruments, she played in the Miranda Symphony Orchestra. She graduated with a pharmaceutical degree from the Central University of Venezuela before moving to the US in the spring of 2007. "Notes in the Valley" is not her first acting performance. She has appeared in several television and print ads.
CHAD SMITH (James) - Chad was born and raised in Washington, DC, and is a 2008 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg. Chad developed an enthusiasm for acting while in high school when he was recruited by Children’s National Medical Center to be a member of Teens Against the Spread of AIDS (TASA), an acting troupe that used improvisational theater as a method to teach teens about sexuality and good decision-making. Though he received his degree in psychology, Chad has a strong passion for acting and is a self-taught piano player. While at Pitt-Greensburg, Chad performed in several plays, including “Picasso at the Lapin Agile”, “Grease”, “Noises Off”, “Mother Courage and Her Children” (for which he composed original music), and had the lead role of Artie Shaughnessy in “The House of Blue Leaves.” He was also an extra in the DreamWorks film “She’s Out of My League”, which was shot in Pittsburgh, and he can be seen in upcoming screenings of student films at Point Park University.
MACE PORAC (Emma) - Mace Porac makes her first film appearance in "Notes in the Valley". Over the past several years she has performed at Stage 62 Comtra Theatre, and CCAC Allegheny Campus. She spent much of her youth wandering through the shelves of the Homestead Library looking for books to read. Today she enjoys being a city dweller on Pittsburgh's North Side where she has lived for many years with her family.
CAITLYN FROLO (Mindy) - Caitlyn, 9 years old, from Monessen, Pa., is a 4th grade student, who developed a love for acting when she was cast as Annie in Annie Jr. Since then she was cast as a featured extra, playing Guy Pearce's daughter, in The Road, a screen adaptation of Cormac McCarthy's novel shot here in Pittsburgh. She was also an extra in Julianne Moore's, Shelter, and appeared in other local and regional projects. She has trained with the Pittsburgh CLO, Donna Belajac Casting, John Robert Powers, and recently Mon Valley Actors & Artists. She is very proud to have a part in "Notes in the Valley"!
